2840 load control shaft L/D lever

It's the rockshaft load/depth control lever(draft control). Basically it controls the sensitivity of the three-point hitch...meaning that if you're plowing with a mounted plow and hit a tough spot it allows the plow to raise out a bit while the pull is hard..and to drop back to set depth in when the plow pulls easier.

Works off the load control shaft in the transmission which goes through the drawbar/lower draft arms support. As the load control shaft flexes under load it moves an internal arm which works the hitch valve and changes the three point height to varying degrees depending on where the sensitivity is set.

Set to minimum sensitivity for most tasks like mowing or hauling hay..post hole digging etc.
