I recently bought a 6620 not too far from home. On the way home it was running close to red but not into red. Engine and top of radiator were hot and bottom of radiator cold. I put in two new thermostats from Deere and seems to be the same situation. With both thermostats in it circualtes water through the heater in the cab, but does not seem to circulate through the radiator. I removed one thermostat and I now have good movement through the radiator and looking into the open radiator cap I have good water movement. When I drained and added water to the radiator to change the thermostats, the water seemed to move through the radiator as fast as i could poor, and looks like it has had the radiator replaced at some point. Can i run with one thermostat, or is this too much water movement? Can a water pump "wear out" that it can push water through the thermostats properly? Any ideas on what is going on here? Thanks for any help.
