Distibutor ignition, changed plugs, coil, points, condenser, wires, cap and rotor, swapped carbs, checked valve lash, seems to have good compression. I cannot get this figured out. Any help would be appreciated.

Btw I got this tractor in boxes and this is how it ran when assembled. New piston and rings, valves ground.

Is that a Heavy Load or just an average everyday load..?

Water in the Sediment bulb (Glass) will contribute to a miss..(even a little water)..

Is there any Black smoke..? Could it be running a little lean.?
Have you tried easing the chock out to see if that helps.?

What Plugs are you using.?

Autolite #3116 are the only ones I use..had way too many problems with "Champions"..

Tell us what you have done while it is under load , and type of load , to determine it was not firing on #2. Would help in diagnosis.

Valves and seats where redone while head was off. Manifold has a crack in the exhaust that has been welded but is in question. Might be my next step

Recently had an A that ran perfect till one day it started pinging and missing. Changed coil, plugs, wires, cleaned carb, changed gas, took Petronics set out and put a set of points
in it. It started and ran but wouldn't stay running. Looked at the points again and the plastic that opens and closes them was melted. MMM now what? Finally remembered working
on one that started and ran after a rebuild but wouldn't after it was painted. Too much paint for it too ground properly. Took the distributor off and cleaned and polished the
mating surfaces and it now runs and starts as good as ever.
