JD 300

I recently got on a JD 300 and there was a lit red light with a lightning bolt on the upper left corner of the dash board. The organization who owns it does not have an operators manual. What is that light? Thanks.

The electrical system is not putting out a charge.

That's your idiot light for the alternator,it could just be a bad connection,check the voltage output to the battery with it running at about 1000 RPM to see if you're charging or not,it could be the voltage regulator that I believe is on the alternator on that model.
