4430 Expansion Valve

Not getting a clear understanding of expansion valve location. Is it located where the cab uprights connect? Has a layer of wrap of some kind around it and didn't want to cut into it b4 I ne for sure? Is this wrap something I need to get if replaced? Thanks again!

If you open the roof up there is a large
metal cover take that off. The expansion
valve is on the left side of the evaporator.
It has the special tape on it. To do it
right you should get more tape to put on it.

Tape can be purchased at auto AC parts supply or good auto parts store or your local JD dealer.

To add to what Caleb said, there are 22 screws holding the inner panel on when you go to loosen the lines be very careful and use a back up wrench on each line,, the little line on top can gauld tight and will try to bring the threads off with the nut, so be careful with them..
