Have seen several helpful posts about how to replace the oil pump coupler link. It's a pretty simple procedure if you have a helper but also can be done solo. One just needs to create a "sling" out of duct tape (material of 1000 uses!) to hold the pump rod and gear from underneath the tractor. High enough to clear the oil lines and low enough to give you enough space to put the coupler on from above, through the crankcase opening - might have to rotate crankshaft to get good access. Then go back underneath and push up until you make contact with the driver shaft, remove the sling, then rotate gear slowly until the driver shaft slips into the coupler. Add the other gear, slide the pump cover (with gasket) back on, bolt it up, and you are done. Just did this last night and it worked pretty slick. Attaching a couple pics (sorry about orientation of first one): tape sling and finished job.
