JD LI Pulley mis alignment

I am cleaning up things on this LI.

The top and bottom pulley are out of alignment by about 1/8 to 1/4 inch.

The fan is close to the radiator, it looks like the engine pulley needs to come back, but there is a pin on it.

Any suggestions.

Fan blade sure has a heavy pitch to it. Just looking at the pic it looks like there is a good bit of clearance on the backside of the fan pulley. If so you might take a little off where it butts against the mounting plate.(be nice if there's a heavy washer there you could move to the other side) That would be easier than filling the lower pulley hole and re drilling it.

Oops - I was thinking backwards again. Sorry bout that. The fan should be the same as an early M. I just checked a spare and the blade is right at 2 inches from front to back. Later m's and 40's had a different fan assembly but I don't have one of those to check now. Did you check to see if they had installed both flats on the one side?

Definitely not the correct fan blades. I've got a nice straight one from an LA I will part with cheap. It has a great coat of classic green on it although that won't help you out! E-mail is open if interested.
