Routing of RH main bearing oil line in late styled B

Does anyone have a picture of how the right hand main bearing oil line is supposed to look on a late styled (1952) B, or routing tips? I do have the service manual but it's a little unclear to me still. When I got this tractor the oil line was broken off at the bearing. I have replaced the main bearing fitting with correct part (A258R) and bought a replacement oil line on ebay (should have been AB3454R). I just can't find a way to have both ends of the line connect at the same time. Send two pics- one of each end (on one I have the oil line connected at the filter head- but could not get the line to the bearing). Thanks much, I thought the installing of the line would be the EASY part of this job....

I can't tell how short you are on the line. It appears the line is bowed and it doesn't take much to keep it from threading. It appears your line is also copper colored? Is it copper...if it's slightly off a little heat will expand it. Personally I would have gone to tractor scrap yard to bought the factory line. There should be a bunch of this stuff around.

I do not think you got the correct line. Yours is too straight to be the factory line. Aftermarket lines are a nightmare to get bent correctly to work. Here is a picture of the correct line showing the bends.

Thanks much. I am thinking I got the wrong line. On the picture you sent along, which end would attach to the filter housing?

The one with the slight offset in it. It is pointed away from view in this picture. The necked part is what goes to the main bearing. Make sure and have the line out of the way of the crankshaft. Turn it over by hand real slow with the cover still off and check and makes sure the line clears. I have seen several engines ruin a main bearing because the line/fitting got knocked off the first turn on a new engine overhaul.

Thanks very much for that last post about which side goes where- exactly what I needed to proceed with new confidence! I have a "new" line coming, looks just like the picture above from JD Seller; and hopefully it fits without giving fits. Agree very much about turning the engine over by hand first; some of these lines are very close to the crankshaft.

Thanks also for the posts about tractor salvage yards. I oftentimes frequent pull-your-own-parts places for auto parts but never thought of doing so for tractor parts. Does anyone know of any tractor salvage yards in the Minneapolis greater metro or southern MN area?

I found a picture of a New Old Stock A3454R, it looks pretty similar to the picture JD Seller posted.
