I am replacing the seals inside the collum I have the top 3 seals in place. There are 3 more seals further down inside the collum that I can't reach but I am sure that someone has a easier way to get these 3 seals inplace.

Probably a proper tool out there some where.
What worked well for me was a few welding rods with the ends flattened, bent or sharpened as required.
A pair of double jointed needle nose pliers come in handy as well.

IIRC only tool to replace the large o-rings in utility steering valve housing have been created by repairing technician. As mentioned by Determined a long small rod with a flattened bent end will help with installation. Although these 6 o-rings are not easy to install in proper grooves it can be accomplished with perseverance.

I used the mentioned welding-rod tool trick along with heavy grease to keep the o"rings in place. I ground a sharp/long point on an 1/8" rod and bent it 90 degrees. This will dig out the old o"rings and help place the new ones in the grooves.

The valves and associated shim-packs should be kept together...can take it apart but don't mix-up the shims. New valves come with new shim packs.

Make sure you get the o"rings in the appropriate grooves...easy enough to miss a lower o"ring groove and get the o"ring in an oil groove.

DITTO I totally agree.

I have a set of Blue Point loonngg O ring picks mainly for this job.
Note; don't attempt this project the first day with new glasses!
