looking at a 3020d ps when running if you lift 3pt or use a remote the trans pres gauge on dash drops down then comes back up is this normal or is there a check valve or so that's not working

I believe you have an oring or seal leaking. You might have a relief valve bypassing on you. Find a pressure gauge and adapt it to the selective control outlet valve. Check the pressure and compare the gauge readings if it drops also along with the dash gauge you have hydrolic problems. Check hydrolic filter and change first. Repeat test if doing the same move to the relief valve ans add a shime. These you can do without a shop tech. If you add to thick of a shim you might raise the standard pressure which John Deere recommends.

Gauge on dash reflects trans pump pressure. How low does gauge move when activating a hyd function? How long since hyd filters were changed & sump screen checked/cleaned?

the gauge will drop to nothing when ether the 3pt or the remotes are used filter and screen are good I can understand it dropping when you engage the pto or shift but not the others

Trans pump in addition to supplying oil for pto & trans engagement supplies oil to frt hyd pump for 3 pt & scv's.

yes but shouldn't there be a priority valve what happens if you run a orbit motor do you wreck the trans by not having pres
