4430 Front Rims

I need to replace front rims. It has 11.00-16 tires on them with 6 lugs. Can anyone tell me what rim dimensions are? Thanks!

Its been many years so memory is bad, cant remember the dimensions, but whatever you do -- get the rims with the heavy centers. There is a vast difference between the cheepies and the ones you need.

I think those are the same rims as on 4020, but get the heavier ones.

We got some from Abiline machine.

According to JDparts.com 11.00 X 16 frt wheels weren't an option on 4020's

Most times 11:00-16 tires are put on 10" rims. On combines such as 4400, 6600, etc., they were put on 9" rims. I have seen them on 8" rims but they are slightly ballooned. I have three tractors with that size tire and two are on 10" rims and one is on combine 9" rims and all work fine. Ten inch rims have a negative offset (as a rule) and look dished in when they are actually offset out. If you are concerned about center strength you can buy reinforcement rings for 6-bolt wheels. Hope this helps. Mike

Thanks to all for the info! I had tire taken off and found I had 8" rims. Now if I can find some close enough to get this rig put together in time to roll peanut hay! Thanks again!

I have ran into a problem. I got replacement 8" which is what they were but think that may be why one was cracked and one was warped. I can see some signs where they were running against uprights. Would a 9" rim help remedy this?

If you got a salvage yard nearby with decent prices, the best thing to do is to put 8 bolts rims and hubs. Will be slightly more pricey, but approx 20x stronger.

Mike, I found that mine are on 8" rims. I noticed where the tire had rubbed the upright some and am now thinking that this is why one rim is cracked and one is warped. Do you think a 9 or 10" rim would give more clearance from the upright since the 8" may make it balloon out?

Tire rubbing frt axle knee would depend a lot on what the offset is on center of wheel. Take notice of offset depth in wheel spec's
