3150 hyd pump

Our 3150 hydraulic pump is leaking. Looks like the oil is comming out between the front cover and pump body. Is this a leaking seal? Should I pull the pump or can it be repaired in the tractor? Thanks!

is the drain line open and routing seal seepage back to the transmission sump ?
Is everything torqued down ?

If it's like other JDS of the Era, pull the pump out. Not to big of a job, remove hood, fuel tank and drive coupler. Much easier to inspect and change the pump shaft if needed. Ben

Is the drain line a small (1/4")black line?

I suggest to check the 4 capscrews(key 13) to be sure they are tight. If leak persists I think pump will need R&R & seal kit installed.
