I watched a John Deere 950 sell on Saturday, paint was faded but otherwise no physical damage to the tin, no welds on the front axle, decent tires - but both back rims had patches welded on over the valve stem holes. I was a bit surprised this small of tractor had fluid in the tires at one point. It fired right up and appeared to move well with working brakes - sold for $2400.
I might have jumped in on that price even though I had no use for it except it had just turned over 9000 hours. That seemed like a LOT of hours for a little 3 cylinder engine - even it if had an overhaul. I see these for sale usually more than double (or triple) that price but usually with less than half (or less than a third) the hours.
