Oil for LI

I am working on cleaning up a few things on neighbor's LI.

How much engine oil does it hold?

I don't remember how much they hold but I do know that if you remove the dipstick first then pour it in it lets the oil run in faster as the air can escape.

I believe that the LI has the same engine as the L. My L has the NXB engine and it holds 2 quarts of oil. After boiling out the block when overhauled the oil I use is detergent straight weight 30 I get from NAPA.

I put the oil in today, took 3 1/2 quarts for engine and 1/2 quart for breather, had owner bring over a gallon, so worked out.
