:( this has been the best brush hog tractor I have ever owned. But one day mowing it just locked up and now will just turn circles. Have no idea what's wrong or where to begin need pics or a diagram of the rearend please help

Have you checked that one of the brakes
isn't stuck? Sure sounds like a good
possibility that it's the culprit.

A tooth came off the bull gear and wedged in the brake gear or the brake gear wedged in the toothless spot in the bull gear. Pull the brake of and take a peek. Whatever it is let us know what you find.

Had that happen on my 720. "Fixer Upper" was right as far as my problem. Chip off of a gear got picked by the thick oil and carried in between two meshing gears.

dang hope not mine. Do you know where I can get a tear down diagram to do this. I can repair a lot of things but haven't been this far in on a tractor how difficult is it to fix

Jack up the tractor on the side that the wheel seizes up. Pull the brake assembly out and check the gear teeth closely. Once the brake assembly is removed, will the tire turn freely?? If it does check the big gear that the brake gear meshes with to see if anything is wedged in the teeth. If the brake assembly is removed and the wheel will not turn...it's a whole new ball game.
