Hi again- have pressed in "new " bushings and a good fit; I have a book on this but vague; would one of you gentlemen tell me how to time this? I have the left side ready to put back in but I didnt mark it- ok- i know- dont tell me I should have! LOL....not sure where to raise the other side to install the left side? Can I call you if you know? Or do you have a detailed 1-10 step by step page that tells me? Im ready to put it together! Thanks guys!

Easiest way is to hang the pedestal on the tractor . Install one arm, level it, then put the other arm on holding it level then wiggle it so it engages the other side . IF you can go up to the stop and down to the other stop and still have the gears engaged you got it .

I assume you mean level one arm toward the "back" of the pedestal; then level the other side to the back also? across from each other? Not one to the front and the other to the back......? Thanks.

There are timing marks on the edge of both gears, probably a punch mark or a small o. One has the mark near the tip of a tooth and the other one has the mark at the root between two teeth.
Test the way don myiel said.
