I just got a new fuel transfer pump from deere for a 1020 gas. A note in the box says it must be installed using a "back-up wrench". It doesn't say if its needed for the mounting bolts or the fuel line connectors. Anyone have experience with this?

when I have heard the term "back up wrench" it usually refers to fuel fittings. using a back up wrench so you dont twist on the wrong place

The Airtex pumps that were not cast especially
needed a "backup" wrench to keep from buckleing
those stacks.
On all pumps you need to hold the fittings to
keep from loosening the adapters.
