1950 B main bearing gaskets

Are the right and left main bearing housing gaskets the exact same? I can't tell from the parts diagram.

The right hand bearing housing does not uses a gasket. I would use just a thin coat of gasket shellac.

No shellac needed just bolt it metal to metal as it supply's the oil to the first reduction

Kent, you don't think it'll leak oil?

The right hand brg leaks oil to the first reduction cover all the time as this is how the gears get there oil. there is an oil drain back hole in the side of the crank case that lets the oil return the engine
