Is this a row crop utility? Is it rare? I always wanted a 3020 row crop utility but just happened to stumble on this one. What's it
worth?
worth?
(quoted from post at 08:24:13 08/17/16) At first it did not look like it but a closer look showed the utility steering which sets lower and you can see the hump at the platform. On a utility the front end could be in either the long or short position. Tom
(quoted from post at 05:45:41 08/17/16) The serial no. will tell the tale .
(quoted from post at 00:16:38 08/18/16) yes that there is a 3010 diesel rowcrop utility tractor that has been cobbled up.
easiest give away like others have said is first the ten series hand grabs by the steering wheel
the utility give away is the short steering collumn and the low step plates for your feet.
they made 1108 total diesel rowcrop utilities.
compare that to 23675 row crop diesels and I guess you can call it kinda rare.
as to what is it worth.
well it has a hundred dollar rain cap if you are looking for an original one.
lets get to the cobbled up stuff.
from the distorted pix it is missing the rare brake cover
Im guessing its also missing the one on the other side for the clutch pedal
its possible to find them but good luck
also the original battery box, covers and brackets seem to have disappeared. they will be very hard to find and probably attached to the old fenders that were taken off. track down the previous owner, he may still have them.
seat arm rest missing, not sure bout the back rest, that you can find from a 2010 seat.
it looks like 36 inch tires which means most likely the rear hubs have been changed. they should be 28 inch
thats gonna take some $$
deffinately the wrong rear fenders. you can use them for trading material but good luck finding the original 3010 or 3020 rear utility fenders. I have heard as high as 1500 a pair for usable ones.
yes 2010 fenders will work and u may have to settle for them, but there is a difference like others have stated.
the biggest cost of this tractor which we cant see in the photo is the rear 3 point hitch arms.
they are made of unobtainium and if they are missing the tractor is a low end bottom of the pit price parts tractor.
in that $2500 range.
the arms only fit 3010 and 3020 utility tractors. and lots of them got broke, bent or taken off.
in my own person opinion if you want a 3020 utility then go put an add on this site and find one.
you are going to spend thousands to put this tractor back to original and your going to still only have a ten series tractor.
I am only talking from experience as I wanted a rowcrop utility 3020 also and ended up getting the one in the picture I posted. well worth the wait and hunting for.
one last thing check the serial number tag and hopefully it has one. jd made 32 LP gas 3010 utilities, maybe this one is converted to diesel????
