Hi again men - waiting on bushings- will be in on Monday ; but was looking inside the housing and cleaning today....the grease...where the solid shaft is inside....there are just TWO teeth on the very top- that this other piece I have out evolves around- is this right? Hope so....hope some are not missing - I don't see anything broken. Thanks!

If you only see two teeth on each spindle your unit is not worth rebuilding. There should be gear teeth around about a third to half of the spindle. This is why I've learned never to order parts until the unit I am working on is fully disassembled. Mike

I think they had like 6 teeth on them and you centered them upon assembly.been a long time since I had 1 apart

not the best picture but as others have said there are a lot more than 2 teeth. Bill

If you lost the teeth, they will only be gone from one side. I have welded new teeth on them. Takes a lot of grinding to get the right contour so it matches the teeth on the other side.

I thought I explained this in my first post ; guess I wasn't clear. The "two teeth" im talking about are NOT on the spindle..........it is fine ; they are inside the housing that the spindle goes into to. Thanks for your diagram.......

(quoted from post at 07:36:06 08/16/16) I guess I need to get a parts catalog and stay off this forum.
Getting a parts catalog is always a good idea. That's the first thing I try and do whenever I get another tractor or piece of equipment. Also an owner's manual.
Look there first--THEN come on the forum. It'll save you a lot of typing!!

ok sounds good; do you know how to send me a "link" for the catalog I need? Thanks. and how to "save it" ? to my desktop? Im not great on these things :)
