Neighbor's 2550 lost power to pto, steering and lift while bush hogging. Any ideas what to check? Thanks for any help. doorman

Loss of hyd pressure to pto indicates loss of trans pump pressure. How long since hyd filter was changed and sump screen(key 15) checked/cleaned? Also check to be sure hyd filter relief valve in photo is seating.

It wouldn't hurt to check frt hyd pump drive coupler to be sure pump shaft is turning with engine crankshaft.

Ditto what Jim said about the coupler between the pump and the engine. My 2355 had issues this spring and lost hydraulics. Turned out to be the coupler was spinning on the shaft from the engine and had worn off the splines inside the coupler. Luckily there was no damage to the shaft coming off the engine. There is also a rubber donut or coupler up there that could go bad causing issues.

The drive coupler in front will have nothing to do with the loss of the PTO,,the start of this problem is in loss of charge oil,,start with the sump screen and filter, and hope it's one of them,,but my thoughts your journey is just beginning.....

I wonder if the hub has spun on the pto drive section of the main clutch resulting in no rotation of the transmission pump. A possible shock load from the Brush hog could cause this failure
