John Deere 70 Pony Motor Transmission Gasket

Hi,
I am currently having someone replace the clutch liner and the transmission brake on the pony motor transmission on my 70 diesel. I am able to find all parts, except I need the Cranking Engine Transmission gasket, which is part # F1997R. This part is no longer made by John Deere, and I can't find any reference to it on a google search. Does anyone have a source for this part, or will we need to make one. If we do need to make one, is there any kind of gasket material that we should use? Any tips on making gaskets??? Any help and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Randy

Thanks for the suggestion. I called and he said they have lots of those gaskets in stock. He said that they have most of the gaskets that John Deere doesn't make anymore, so if anyone else is looking for gaskets, I would give them a try!!!
