520 Service Manuel

What is the best service manual for the hydraulic pump for a John Deere 520? I have the operator's and owner's manuals. There does not seem to be a SMXXXX specifically for the 520. There is a SM2022 for the Power-Trol. Is that what I need? The pump is where my problem is. From the good help here, I am sure I need to replace the idler gear.

You'll need the Custom Powertrol manual, possible number 2026. john

What problems are you having? When my uncle had the 520 the hydraulics worked, when he was on his death bed it had no fluid when I used it and now that I have it with plenty of fluid it just makes a whining sound. I don't really need the hydraulic valve but it would be nice to have.
