JD Dirt scoop

Don't think they are that rare. I bought one at a farm auction a few years ago and have seen one other one since, somewhere, probably at an auction.

My Dad had a JD model 20. IMHO for moving soil it was just a little better than a wheel barrow. I think with the increase numbers of FEL a lot of rear scoops went to scrap yard

The new issue of Two-Cylinder magazine includes a reprint of "Matched Working Equipment for the new 530*630*730 Tractors".

The "20 Rear-Mounted Scoop" is on page 25 of that brochure.

In attending lots of sales for over 30 years I have seen very few. More than likely the Deere was higher priced than other brands and did not sell. Also many scoops were sold with N series fords and at that time Deere did not have a three point tractor. Tom
