5065 E no start

Not an old tractor but I always get good advice here so I thought I'd throw it out there.

Working on a friend's 5065 that he just got from his brother who thought it had a bad starter or battery.

Battery and starter are fine. I can jump the solenoid and it will crank but not start. By the key it won't turn over at all. All fuses are good.

To me it seems like an electrical issue but I don't know where to start. Not knowing anything about JD or this model I'm thinking there is a circuit not completing that supplies fuel to the injector and engages the starter?

Anybody have an idea or schematic?

Thanks,

I think there's a solenoid fuel shut-off. Check to make sure it's getting electrical power when the key is on.

Faulty fuel solenoid will not keep engine from turning over if all fuses are good IE not blown.

I have a 5105. It gave me fits awhile back cranked but no start. I had voltage at the inj. pump shut off or so I thought. I did not check it as it was cranking over. Turns out a relay was dropping out. I opened up the dash and there was a LARGE relay block full of them ! I have no idea why so many as this model is pretty basic old school. Owners manual did not tell about them or what functions they have and they are not marked. You must have to get a tech manual to get info on them. I pulled them all out as they are all the same. Cleaned up the terminals on them and stuck them back in what surely ended up different spots. Trouble went away. I then figured out which one ran the inj. pump shut off and marked it in my book for future use.
