I purchased a NOS cylinder block for my 1929 JD "D", the old one has a crack about 6 " long on the top through to the water jacket but not into the cylinder also some serious rust pitting on left cylinder 2" from combustion camber, is it worth saving or is it scrap, its just taking up space. If anybody wants it, its free for the taking.

It has not been bored out, I'm located in Grand Rapids, MI. If no one takes me up on my free offer what it's worth if I sell it.
I also have a cracked head I replaced, rebuilder said it can be repaired but not cheaply, I bough a NOS replacement, what's the cracked head worth?
I just want them out of here but don't want to scrap them if there useful to somebody.

If you weren't so far away, I'd take both. That block isn't that bad. But 550 miles is a bit far, even for free. You might put a ad on this site for free. Start at $100.00 or a little more and you can always go down. If you're on Facebook, The John Deere Two-Cylinder Club of Facebook has a free auction site. You could list it for sale there.
