Jd 4430 gauge cluster revisited

So since I posted earlier this week about
the gauge cluster I have gained a bit. Fuel
and temp seem to be working, but the oil
pressure and volt meter don't work. So I
tested the back of the cluster with my multi
meter, both fuel and temp show 12.4 volts,
while the oil pressure and amp read 0 on the
meter.

So are all 4 gauges powered off of the same
wire meaning I have a bad circuit board in
my gauge cluster, or does the power for the
amp meter and oil pressure come from else
where?

I don't have a tech manual to study but I think all gauges are powered from same place. Have you checked for loose connections on circuit breaker in frt of dash on LH side? This board has a long history of getting loose connections although I think it's not your lack of instrumentation problem.

Tighten all of the little nuts on the back of the gauge cluster and see if it helps. They have been known to work loose. If not, remove the gauges from the cluster and inspect the circuit board for a bad spot. I have seen moisture get inside on open tractors and cause problems.

I had intermittent issues with the Investigator II monitor on the 4450, Installed a 0-100 psi gauge on the side of the engine, line connected to the oil gallery. Monitor was a ground issue.
