4250 Hyd Oil Temp

I posted recently about the Hyd Oil Temp light flashing on my 4250 while mowing. Following the tips I received here, I have checked the hyd oil level, determined the oil cooler and radiator are clean and have installed a locking kit on the fan. Since then I can see that the water temp is running cooler than before but I still get the Hyd Oil Temp light flashes after running it for a few hours. I am now wondering if I may have a bad sensor for the Hyd Oil Temp. I have a temp gun so I can check the oil temp but I'm not sure where to check it or what the temp should be. Any tips on where to check and what the operating range should be? At what temp does the sensor indicate a high temp condition? Thank you.

I don't have an answer as to at what temp the sensor indicates overheat.

There's a service bulletin at the link below that MAY address your problem. Read through to the end.

Even though the oil cooler and or rad looks clean. Odds are the Center is plugged with oily mud.
