Bouncing Clutch Lever

My hand clutch lever bounces on my JD A when engaged. Does that really matter? It's 79 years old. Is there something out of round on the driving sleeve or clutch fork?

(quoted from post at 06:04:18 07/17/16) Is the crankshaft endplay within limits?

Good question. I had too much endplay awhile back and now I probably don't have enough. It seemed like the last time I tried to adjust for more endplay, it disappeared again when I tightened the 2 nuts.

That could be the issue?

It needs less than .010" endplay. Too MUCH endplay could make the clutch lever flop, but not too little.
