1020 jd tractor

Hello,I have jd 1020 tractor that will go in gear but will not move.When tractor is running it does not grind when put in gear just does not move.It was running fine pushed clutch in going down hill for short distanced and this problem started.What did I do to it.Thanks

Probably blew the lining off of the clutch disc or tore the splined hub out of the clutch disc.

Thanks for the reply.I thought clutch disk or pressure plate,but was told I could have blown punp in transmission,not having worked on these tractors before was trying to get any info I could.Also how hard is it to pull one apart looks fairly easy just supports.Thanks

If tractor doesn't have option of hyd hi-lo or hyd reverser then hyd pump has nothing to do with tractor moving or not moving.

I am getting ready to split a 1020 down in the near future to do a clutch and a PTO shaft coupler and also find why it has coolant in the oil. When all said and done it will be in at least 3 big pieces but I have my shop set up with an I-Beam and 3 chain hoists on trolleys and right now I have the lift cover off and it is hanging on the 4th chain hoist
