John Deere model P?

i see in the photo adds someone in Iowa has what they are calling a 1930 model P. i have never heard of such a model, does any one have any info on these? I'm assuming it is an experimental unit or preproduction of a more common model like the model 62 is for the L.

The tractors were known as "GP series P" and differed from the regular "GP Wide Tread" in that the rear axle quills were made narrower to allow a 68" wheel tread for 34" rows in potato country. The "P" as it is known now was discontinued after special rear wheels were made that allowed the 68" tread on regular "GP" axle quills. Hope this helps. Mike
