Aftermarket wide front?

I bought this wide front at an auction and was told that it was aftermarket to fit an A or B that was non rollomatic. I have my doubts and it might be homemade. If homemade i was going to use it for the metal but not if it was aftermarket. So what do you guys think of it?

Not like anything for a JD I have seen before ? If it is for a JD most likely for some other model as it is very rare to see an A or B with a convertible front end where the lower half of the front post unbolts so as to bolt on other front ends. If homemade it looks better than the average joe farmer shop built things I have seen.
I can tell you the curved angle iron with all the holes in it is part of a set of brackets to mount a # 5 sickle bar mower on like an A or B up to around 1946 with the old style drawbar that used a roller in the middle. These bolted onto the side of the drawbar frame.

Well it's yours, but my have better chances installing on AR model..
Not much on it looks right to me.

That's a homemade widefront made out of a wagon axle. It would look interesting painted up and installed an a unstyled A or B. You would get plenty of comments. Like, "My Grandpa had one just like it."

Well, you asked ... I think it's cool. I'd be tempted to use it, you could always change your mind.

Well I have nothing that it would go on, and unless I come across a great deal on a tractor I don't plan on getting one either. I'm more of a Moline guy. I think I'll put it up for sale, if I get out of it what I have in it great, if not, I have scrap metal to use to fix or build things with. I have enough things in the barn that I'll never use to keep it around for the "maybe one day"
