2510 gas tank

I recently had the gas tank of of a 2510 (gas)to flush the gunk from the bottom of it. I removed the gauge sending unit to make cleaning it
easier. I re-installed it with a new cork gasket (dry), but it now seeps some now. What sealer will work well to seal the sending unit up?

Permetex # 1 or #2 are fuel resistant. Or indian head gasket shellac. Those are hardening and non hardening part numbers but I don't remember which one is which ? I would think the non hardening would be best for that.

I would start by removing the screws one at a time and putting a small amount of sealant on the first couple of threads and putting them back in, as I suspect may be leaking gas past the screws... I've seen that before.

Shellac, or Permatex anaerobic sealant.

Not NOT being a smart-azz, but I would personally start by installing a big ol fire extinguisher on the tractor.

I coated it up with shellac, screws too, I'll see tomorrow whether I get an "A" or an "F". Thanks for the replies.
