John deere G carb problems

Just recently picked up a john deere G with the DTLX 51 carb. Problem I'm having is it idling. Took carb apart let soak in the parts washer for a better part of the day. Blew out every hole I could find. Put the carb back on and it runs better. Runs great at high idle doesn't skip a beat. Low idle it just revs up and down until put the coke on about 1/4 way and it smooths out. I don't know what it could be, but any help would be appreciated. I attached a short video of what it's doing.

Sounds like a proper clean out of the idle circuit passages AND orifices is required.
And possibly throttle shaft bushings and shaft.
About $150 if it doesn't need a new float.
At the moment, a three day turn around here at our shop is possible.

Remove the small brass screws in the stem of the carburetor. With the lower screw removed a small hole into the channel leading to the idle circuit should be open. The small hole is located at the rear of the opening with the screw removed. I use a small drill bit you can purchase from a carb shop. A pipe cleaner for cutting torch can also be used. Do not enlarge the hole. Make sure carburetor cleaner can pass from the openings along the idle circuit after removing the brass screws along the left side of the carb and the two screws accessed through the mounting flange. With out the circuit open the tractor will hunt and idle poorly. Most likely you will be able to remove the idle needle (while running) with no change in the tractor the small hole must be clean to complete the idle circuit.

I had a similar problem with an A. Cleaned as I could get it, put a can of Seafoam in 5 gallons of 10% ethanol gas let it run until it ran out of fuel. Problem solved.

would you want someone to do heart surgery on you by watching a video, or a heart doctor, send it to a carb person that is what they do popin john, best of the best.
