What seems like many years ago (5 ) I save one Stupid old John Deere A from being sent to China.
Wasn't in any kind of a hurry to save it, but as time went on & damaged parts were removed the
Old A began to look better. last time it moved under it's own power was 5/30/85, because later
that same day a Tornado took it for what should have been it's final ride. But Dummy me, came to
it's rescue? Last night, I hooked up a battery to this once upon a time hand crank 1944 A. Rigged up
a Briggs 1 gallon gas tank & hot wired the distributor up, hit the started & it fired & was running
so quickly I stood back in Awe. Of course it should have fired I have more dollars in this thing than
sense. What was a tractor frame with no engine & trans/axles/wheels & tires that I called POS meaning
just that, it's name has been changed to ( Something Else ) because just about everything on it now
came from something else.... It RUNS! It was music to my ears, Now I can say I'm about 1/2 way done. LOL
I now can move this machine without a chain, what a relief.
