3020 load shaft seal leaking

Load shaft on our 3020 is leaking. Installed new bushings and seals a couple of years ago. Cap is loose on the side that is leaking. Retaining screw is tight. Any suggetions would be appreciated.

Did you replace the shaft as well? They will wear and leak. Recommend Boling machine,about$200 gets you a shaft, seals and bushings.

Go to ebay and there is a place in IN that sells a replacement seal that is much better than the original. They sell a custom made holder for a seal that is a Deere part from a newer tractor.Make sure the new bushings have o-rings and remove all side to side play.If shaft shows wear replace it although with new o-ring bushings and the IN made seals even a little wear probably will not leak. You can tack weld the cap in place on the opposite side from the retaining bolt. A little grinding will get it off next time.

I add to what others stated that putting shims between drawbar support & trans case to remove side to side motion of shaft/support will increase seal life.
