Just bought a 435 round baler, are the twine arms suppose to move in you are net wrapping. I can not get the baler to wrap at all. I have changed the pump, switches, idler belt, tension spring on the knife for the net wrap. The control valves are adjusted as per the book for the net wrap to work, however when I make a bale and the pump is engaged the wrap does nothing, help?

Yes twine arms cycle with netwrap. FYI switches & electrical system has nothing to do with wrapping the bale. All the electrical system does is alert operator to whats happening of in a few cases not happening.

Did you bleed all the air out of replaced pump? Can you get twine arms to cycle? With tailgate closed & locked raise tension arm(same as attempting to open TG) until you can see 3+ in bale size indicator window on RH side of baler. With pto engaged pull yellow rope and twine arms should cycle.

How do I bleed the system, per the book, or a different way? I do not have the rope attached to pull the trip. The twine arms do not even try to move.

Absence of rope is immaterial as I've seen several JD rd balers of that era that the rope was missing. To bleed open twine arms speed control wide open(CCW) & apply small bursts of compressed air in neck of pump reservoir with neck opening blocked off with shop towel WHILE twine cycle is engaged IE pump pulley is turning. Once twine tubes start moving cycle them several times then close speed control valve to attain desired twine tube travel speed.
