My brother, Son and I just bought a 53 JD 70 to fix up and use on the property and was looking for any advice and info we can get about the tractor. The tractor is in pretty good shape considering it's been sitting for years. It has a DuAll loader with a bucket and grapple, a 3 point hitch and 6' back blade. Everything works, and it fires right up and runs well. The known problems are battery, muffler, tires, and various hydraulic leaks. We plan on power washing it, draining the fluid and refilling it to find the leaks. I bought new front tires but we're saving up for new rears. I have an operators manual on the way, but any info on what to look for or what typical problems this tractor had would be greatly appreciated!
