New Generation 10 and 20 series question

I am in the market to buy a 10 o 20 series tractor, but I kind of remember hearing from some older guys that one of those models was really bad and to stay away from it because it was prone to problems. It seems like I remember it was either 1010 or 2010, or maybe the 1020 or 2020. I just can;t remember. Any advice these series of tractors would be helpful.

Never had or been around a 1010 or 2010, but have read enough and heard enough to steer clear of them. Now, get into a 3010 or 3020, or 4010 or 4020, that is quite different. A 3010 was the first tractor I learned to drive. We still have a 3020 on the farm and I would not want to ever part with it. My dad would not part with it, either. Just spent some time on it this spring in the field working it. I think I managed to burn a few years of carbon build up out of the engine. Hearing that engine work brought back wonderful memories from my youth!

hello, stay away from the 2010 in particular.. the 1020, 1520, 2020, etc. these tractors are VERY good models as well as 30,series, 40, series etc. try to find one that is not worn out as these models are very reasonable to work with,, and work on. one WITHOUT a loader will probably have less wear & tear.
