720 serial number info

wondering if any body has any info or a register of serial numbers with ship date, branch location, options, etc for the corresponding tractor. mine is 7209805 if any one has info and would be willing to look it up and share it.

thanks

You'll have to go pay the Two Cylinder Club now unfortunately. The John Deere Archives recently was providing the information for free until this month. I just tried submitting one more serial number to them and received this response:

[i:6cf5c6e1db]Thank you for your passion for John Deere! Please note the following changes to our research policy:

We are pleased to announce that beginning in June 2016, the Two Cylinder Club will exclusively respond to build/ship research requests for vintage John Deere tractors on behalf of the Deere & Company Archives. Please send your request directly to the Two Cylinder Club by phone (1-888-782-2582) or online. Learn more about serial number research services at the Two Cylinder Club’s website.

The Two Cylinder Club has provided this service non-exclusively to collectors since the late-1980s. The Club has worked in the Deere & Company Archives since that time transcribing and interpreting the records, and providing research services to both members and non-members of the Two Cylinder Club.

Please note that there is a fee for this service. Thank you for your patience and support during this time of transition.

Best Regards,
Deere Archives[/i:6cf5c6e1db]

I sent this response to Deere:

[i:6cf5c6e1db]Thanks. I have an endless amount of passion for John Deere! But, I have absolutely no passion for the Two Cylinder Club leadership and I have discontinued my membership. Therefore I will not be obtaining any more information on any future tractors I acquire for the time being.

I want to personally thank the John Deere archives and their employees for providing the information at no cost in the past. I hope that someday you may offer this service again. Even if you charge a reasonable fee, I would gladly obtain the information from you.[/i:6cf5c6e1db]

i got the same message as i just asked them a couple days ago. day late and a dollar short as usual. i'm not paying them either the tractor works just the same with out knowing the exact dates and what not. would be interesting to know but not enough to pay for.
