Umbrella from the 1950's

Found this umbrella in my dad's old barn back in the corner of the grainery. Surprised that the mice hadn't made swiss cheese out of it. Cleaned up very nice. My oldest brother said that they used it on the John Deere B for cultivating corn. I think it will work nicely on my 630. Now i just have to get a bracket to mount it.

There are several seat mount brackets for sale on ?-bay but they are pricey. There are also the type for the steel pan seat on there.

I ordered one from Heritage Farm Power. It is not stock, but looks substantial and was only $70.

We use the umbrella on our B, A, and 70 when cutting and raking hay.

"John B" our 43B.

"Old John" our 48A.

"Vernon" our 56 Model 70.

Sure makes a difference under this Texas sun.
