carb numbers

I have two carburetor bowls stamped DLT 13. One has an 8 stamped on it, the other one a 5. Is there any significance to the 8 and the 5?

OK, I'm going to try to explain this one more time. I have two DLT 13 bowls. I understand that that DLT13 is part of the casting mold and indicates that model of bowl. The question I have is that ON THE BOWL about 1 inch away from the DLT13 number, a separate number is stamped into the bowl, not the top part of the carb. I have one bowl with a 5, and one with an 8. Are these references to which no. of carburetor this bowl matches? If so, do they only work with that carb?

Perhaps someone took them off a #5 and #8 carb and stamped them to put back on that particular carb. Otherwise the numbers stamped on the bowl will mean nothing.

Those numbers mean nothing... a 13 bowl is just that and a 7 bowl is the older version. Stamped numbers on bowl are probably a code for the shift or worker doing the shift of casting. In my original comment, I presumed you meant JUST the bowl when you were talking numbers. Don't know how everyone got off on actual carb numbers/applications.

Thanks for your help guys. I also found out this afternoon that my A carb has a DLT13 bowl, and my G's DLTX51 has a DLT13 bowl, the hole is just bored out bigger.
