I have 1949 John Deere "B" that I'm trying to move the cast center on a 12 spline axle. Nothing I've done has moved the hub yet. I looking for other ideas. Any suggestions

Here is <a href="https://youtu.be/upivdShKCIM?list=PLCUEeGboEbi-pR6w2onO-9zclH9sBoDVu">one method that has worked</a> on our 40B, 43B, and 46A.

Hope this helps.

With the rear wheel jacked up and the "Collar" Off the Hub, and Penetrant applied,

We would rotate the rear wheel by hand and stab that Brake and you then could see that the splines had loosened..

We used a lighter Chain looped through the Cast Center, extending to anything SOLID (another tractor Drawbar?)..

Then, rotate the wheel to wind up the Looped Chain to pull the wheel out.

You can pull it back "in" by Looping that chain around the axle housing, behind the Accessory Mounting Bolts and rotate the wheel back in..

Ron..

Ron has the method we used. Added note: to remove collar, loosen the 3 bolts. Use 2 of then and turn into the other two holes to force collar off. To move in, same as Ron stated, chain around attachment mounting bolt on axle. To move out, we used a 4 X 4 long enough to reach ground from axle end. Run chain through wheel hole and around 4 X 4 at end of axle and turn the wheel.
