Part number ? On a G

So still working on a g, and took the valve cover off to check the valves. Everything looked good, but as I was putting it back together the little rubber gasket that the breather tube goes into was destroyed. I looked the part up in the parts manual and it lists it as D90R. If you Google that it comes back as a governor weight. Could the parts manual be wrong and it actually be B90R? That would be the same part as the B series if it is. Thanks.

Also looking for a F708R, pto seal housing, where might be the best place to look? $75 on eBay seems a little high.

Pat the tube you are calling a breather is really a oil line for the rockers. I have the casting you need for the PTO $50.00 plus shipping can go in a flat rate box. About $13.00

I just use a piece of rubber gas line for the seal on the oil tube. Cut about a 3/8 to 1/2" piece and it will do the same as the original.

Correct part # for the packing is F1072R (replaces B216R).

Still readily available.

The nearby "BIG tractors and combines" dealer even has 9 of 'em in stock.

To R&R valve cover doesn't one need to remove line 15 from valve cover? Parts key 13 is what I thought Patsdeere was needing which is D60R.

Parts Key # 15 is the crankcase vent tube that runs from the governor housing to the air cleaner mounting casting NOT involving the tappet cover.

The rocker oiling line runs from the governor housing to the tappet cover. Since he had the tappet cover off I have ASSUMED the oiling line is the on he needs a "packing" for.

BTW, the packing you mention, B60R, is still available, as well. A little pricey, though!

Part Number: B60R

Description: Washer - WASHER, PACKING

(quoted from post at 14:46:25 05/18/16) BTW, the packing you mention, B60R, is still available, as well. A little pricey, though!

Thanks for pointing out my mistake BUT the incorrect packing part number that I referred to came right out of the G parts catalog you posted the link for. Oh well it's immaterial now as it the wrong part just as immaterial as you complaining about post on this site referring to Kubota tractors.

Thanks all. Once again you saved me having egg on my face. I just assumed that it was the same for both the breather pipe and oiler pipe like it was for my B. I found the breather one and thus used that part number. I had to look 3 times for the correct one for the pipe to the valve cover. Sure enough it is the F1072R. Sadly nobody has one locally, and I don't feel like paying $14.95 for shipping a $.49 part (after market price). I might just go with the fuel line idea.

Oh, gosh, Jim, I LOVE 'botas. At least a LITTLE!

My only issue is there's about a million yuppie tractor/'bota sites and the ones sold today are not (at least at this point) "Yesterday's Tractors".

Seriously how did you determine the correct PN(B60R) for the ""incorrect irrelevant PN""(D60R) that was listed in G parts schematic? I have since noticed that D60R isn't listed in G numerical parts index while B60R is listed with correct part number page & parts key location(see photo below).
Thanks,Jim

Actually my parts experience with G's is very limited as very few were sold new in my JD dealers area.
