Installing rear remotes on a 2155 John Deere

I've just bought a good little tractor and need some info on the steps to install rear remotes on the tractor to use implements, seems like just about everything used them. Someone said you get a valve and put on the side of the tranny but I don't know if that is so or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you want factory rear remote or just a spool valve similar to frt end loader control valve? 2155 had 2 different type remote valves(deluxe poppet & spool). Photo is deluxe poppet type. Hyd fitting(parts key 16)attaches to pressure control valve for supply oil.

it doesn't matter to me as long as they are easy to use. The price difference is a factor too, any idea how much they cost? Oh btw thanks for the reply

(quoted from post at 14:04:15 05/11/16) where can you get these valves and or valve kit?
Salvage yards are full of them. The same valves have been used since the mid 1960's on utility tractors .

I would definitely check the junk yards. We have a 2155 with a 520 loader on it and use it for everything. In my opinion they are a great utility
tractor.

hat is what I was thinking too. I don't want to tie $1000 up in a valve. My little tractor is perfect I just need remotes if you know what I'm saying. Y'all have been helpful

thanks that sounds like what I'll do. Do you know if the tm4436 is the best repair manual for those 2155s?

It appears TM4436 has more info(wiring schematics for cab models) & covers "more models" but I think TM4435 will be fine for your 2155. If I was ordering a TM I'd get the cheaper one(TM4435CD) on CD then one can print off pages needed for diagnostics & repair then when pages get stained throw them in the garbage.
