Dead Head

I finally got my dead head working on my 34 D was wondering if any body knows how far down it should be painted red. I also would like to move the gauge kinda outs sight jsut for a quick check.

I thought that this thread was about the Grateful Dead, but since you got my attention, I happen to have an NOS "red head" oil pressure indicator on my desk. The red covers the top 1 1/4 inches.
