2020 JD carb

I and two other "professionals" have worked on the carb and it has not changed it one bit. It will not run without the choke pulled 1/4 out. Surges at full speed and dies
at normal idle. What do I have to do to make the beast operate as it should? Thanks
for any help.

sounds like it's sucking air from someplace it shouldn't. Maybe intake gasket or butterfly bushings. When U partially close the choke, you're partially closing off the sir supply so it will draw more fuel.

Had a JD60 act like a plugged up carb. pull choke out and it ran better. Ign. condenser fixed it.

I think you also have a transfer pump on the side of the engine. It could be bad too. They have check valves inside of them that can wear out.

My 2020 had similar issues which I thought were carb related. Turned out it wasn't getting enough fuel because the fuel line was nearly plugged by crud (dirt & rust particles). Friend of mine blew out the fuel line (backwards - into fuel tank). I added an inline fuel filter to catch the particles as they come thru. It runs great now.
