Identifying an un tagged generator...help needed

I have an un tagged generator, not sure what it belongs on, but it fits a model A bracket. Two questions: 1. Are there markings or numbers inside the generator that would help identify it? 2. Are the model A and H generator the same size... i.e. would an H generator also fit a model A ? I have searched online but have not located anything useful. Thanks in advance for any help.

ASSUME it's a Delco?

There's probably a Delco number stamped in the laminations of the armature but that probably won't help much because internal parts are used in more than one model of generator.

Does it have a pulley with a John Deere part number cast into it? That might narrow it down quite a bit.

The H gen. has a different end housing with ears in a different spot from any others IIRC.
