1937 A Splined Wheels

Does anyone know if the early 1937 Model A's could have had 12 spline rear axles, or when the change from 10 to 12 was? Thanks - Bob

The early '37s had 10 spline and the late, after serial # 460000, had 12. There were few other changes. The late 37 has a cast ring on the top of the front pedestal to help mount things like cultivators, a clip on the right side of the hood to guide the shutter rod, the deep seat instead of the flat 24 hole pan. There are probably more, but this is what I can come up with with minimum thinking. ;-)

Thanks a lot Lon. It is a 37 but has the 10 splined axles. Just wondering if they were correct. Thanks again - Bob

They made those changes mid year in '37. Early 37's look the same and have almost all same parts as a '36. Late 37's have the 12 spline axles and all the other things that set them well apart.
