FairbanksR2 magneto question

I have a Fairbanks R2 magneto that is not marked with the wording "type R-2". I have not seen one without the Type R2 wording before, and was wondering if this would make the mag early or late production?

The mag does have a Model GP advance /retard plate.

That is the later R2 with the eye brow below the Waterloo IA letters. Not real sure on what years, for sure big bore years. It might be 32 and up.
